Teaching Fellowship Scholarships for Hispanics in Quantitative Geography and GIS/Remote Sensing


Scholarships for Hispanics Department of Geography seeks to appoint Teaching Fellow in Urban / Social Geography for one year from 1 September 2011. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching in various urban and social geography module in the program (Hons), BA Geography. The successful candidate will provide excellent teaching in the Department of Geography, contributed to the following modules: • City: from Greece to the Globalization (Level 1) • Social and Cultural Geography (Level 2) • Urban Change in Europe, including field visits (Level 2 ) • Remaking the Urban Landscape (Level 3) • Related to the assessment tasks • Act as an academic advisor (Levels 1 and 2), the research methods tutor (Level 2) and the dissertation supervisor (Level 3) S / he may be asked to contribute an additional module,depending on area of ​​expertise. S / he will be expected to provide appropriate support for students, write the appropriate module documentation, follow the procedures the Department for teaching, assessment and quality assurance department and sat on the committee.

Teaching in the Department was informed by staff research interests and teaching fellow will be encouraged to design and deliver the material on this basis.
